First time here and will be back😁. Just basic Fajitas and Nachos, and both very good. Service was fantastic. Zero complaints. This isn't a "Cozy little nook" restaurant, but that can be overlooked since all else was great. The most amazing thing was the portions. We both are until WAY past full.... And still brought home 3.21 lbs. Of left overs. That's gonna feed us a few days.

Been going to Mexican/Latin restaurants in the Madison area for 30 years. El Gallo is by far the best tasting I’ve ever had. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and overall just a fun experience! Not sure why some are giving it bad review's… I’ve eaten there probably 10 times already since they’ve opened and I have yet to have a negative experience of any sort. Highly recommend!

My book club enjoyed the food, drinks, and service at El Gallo. Everything was delicious, except their chips and salsa that were served for free. The chips were subpar and needed a little salt. The salsa was thin and watery.

New place so is swamped. As a result service was a bit slow. Even so the staff was great and the food was outstanding.

Fantastic addition to Monona! We’re so glad to have a sit down Mexican restaurant and this one is solid! Fast, kind, and accommodating staff. Food arrived quickly and was delicious. The delivery robot fascinated our kids! Highly recommended!

This place should be rated 4.5 stars. Went last night with a party of 6 and all the food and drinks were spot on and very tasty, large portions too. Everyone really enjoyed their meals and it came out in a reasonable time. Very friendly service. They are also using a robot to bring food to the table where it’s unloaded by any nearby server. It’s kind of cool and fun to watch it in the mix. It’s a big place so hard to imagine not getting seated quickly most of the time. The owner came out to check on us and say hello which was nice too. We will be making this place a regular stop.

My wife and I went there last week and got a to go order. The staff was friendly and gave great service. The food was VERY good, and frankly I'm looking forward to having it again for dinner tonight lol
