The food was delicious, they have the bottled Mexican Coke, which is one of my favorites, the service was great. Nothing but good things to say about this place. They weren't that busy in a Monday night for dinner. I hope that people learn about this place and they stick around. Oh, they also have a robot that brings out your salsa and chips, which is pretty cool.

The only downside being the amount of salsa Given with the chips is by far not enough, And if you want more chips or salsa it costs more. Not a deal breaker by any means however. El Gallo will more than likely be a once a month visit for us. Maybe twice 😉

We had a group of 11 of us for our Christmas party. They were able to let us have the party room to ourselves. Service was a little slow at first but picked up when the food arrived. Some had the steak entree which they said was very good. The tacos, fajitas and burrito were also very good. I had the vegetable fajitas and they were excellent! Lots of different vegetables in it! Would definitely order again! Was fun to watch the robot deliver the chips and salsa, as well as play music for us. Staff were all very nice and accommodating.

If you like Mexican food, the traditional stuff is here but there is so much more. And if you're vegan or vegetarian, this should be on your regular rotation. I've never seen more than beans, rice and fajita vegetables on the menu.
At El Gallo there are authentic amazing tasting fresh options beyond the usual ones.

First time here and will be back😁. Just basic Fajitas and Nachos, and both very good. Service was fantastic. Zero complaints. This isn't a "Cozy little nook" restaurant, but that can be overlooked since all else was great. The most amazing thing was the portions. We both are until WAY past full.... And still brought home 3.21 lbs. Of left overs. That's gonna feed us a few days.

Not sure why some are giving it bad review's… I’ve eaten there probably 10 times already since they’ve opened and I have yet to have a negative experience of any sort. Highly recommend!

My book club enjoyed the food, drinks, and service at El Gallo. Everything was delicious, except their chips and salsa that were served for free. The chips were subpar and needed a little salt. The salsa was thin and watery.

Fantastic addition to Monona! We’re so glad to have a sit down Mexican restaurant and this one is solid! Fast, kind, and accommodating staff. Food arrived quickly and was delicious. The delivery robot fascinated our kids! Highly recommended!

This place should be rated 4.5 stars. Went last night with a party of 6 and all the food and drinks were spot on and very tasty, large portions too. Everyone really enjoyed their meals and it came out in a reasonable time. Very friendly service. They are also using a robot to bring food to the table where it’s unloaded by any nearby server. It’s kind of cool and fun to watch it in the mix. It’s a big place so hard to imagine not getting seated quickly most of the time. The owner came out to check on us and say hello which was nice too. We will be making this place a regular stop.
